Schmincke Pastels O, Cold Grey

Schmincke Pastels are made of the purest medium fine ground pigments with minimum amounts of binding agent. They are created using high pressure to establish a firm compound, then dried at room temperature and finally finished off and labelled carefully by hand to avoid breakage. This time consuming and costly procedure is done to ensure the smoothness and homogenous qualities of each pastel. Schmincke Pastels measure approximately 2.64" long × 0.43" in diameter (67 mm × 11 mm) and have a rich, buttery texture. Schmincke Soft Pastels are available in 400 brilliants colours which have been classified in 80 rows with 5 colours each.
